sattes-faction (i can’t get no)

After a long time I finally released version 1.0 of picasaView. The code was completely rewritten to feature more flexibility for future versions. Besides some bugfixes, albums can now be shown directly with the “instantView”-option and nearly all settings of the admin-options page can be overwritten directly in the tag. That means, you can have multiple picasaView-tags on your blog (and even in the same post) with completely different settings in image size, server or user-id (and some more). Today I released a minor update of the picasaView plugin, which should work properly in WordPress 2.7 again (and also in previous versions of course). The version 0.7 had some problems within the admin area so that the settings were not saved anymore. If you still have problems (I couldn’t test it against MU installations), don’t hesitate to contact me.

Important note: I had to change the way the picasaView-settings are saved. This means you have to specify them again to make the plugin work properly. Sorry for that

Schon seit langem suche ich nach einer vernünftigen Galerie-Lösung für WordPress. Doch entweder sind die Erweiterungen übers Ziel hinaus geschossen oder Lösungen zum Anbinden externer Galerien entsprachen nicht ganz meinen Vorstellungen oder waren schlecht anpassbar. Deswegen habe ich mich dann spontan dazu entschlossen, ein eigenes Plugin zu schreiben, mit dem man Galerien aus PicasaWeb ohne großen Aufwand in Beiträge einfügen kann.

Entstanden ist dabei dann das picasaView-Plugin.
